The package consists of the following:

 

1x TIG welded danST Engineering Aluminium inlet Manifold

1x Set of 37mm Keihin or Mikuni Carburettors

1x danST Engineering Carb Fitting Kit (4x Fluoro lined silicone hoses and 8x stainless mikalor clamps) in red, blue or black

1 x danST Heavy Duty 1mm Thick Novus Inlet Gasket

1 x NODIZ GenX Ignition ECU and Plug and Play Zetec Loom Kit

1 x danST Bike Fuel Pump Kit (new pump, not reconditioned)

1 x Throttle Linkage Kit (all parts required to adapt your existing cable arrangement)

1 x Pipercross PX600 competition air filter and baseplate cut out and ready to fit the carburettors

1 x main jet set fitted to carbs (1.5-1.6mm depending on advised engine capacity and spec)


Options:

Aluminium Spun Trumpet Upgrade. This option adds a set of our popular spun aluminium trumpets and the appropriate mounting components. The air filter and baseplate will be size to suit the length specified. 

Colour. Colour of the mounting hoses for the carbs.

Fuel Pump Mounting. A 3D printed saddle for mounting the pump on a flat surface. The bracket avoids the installer needing to fabricate a bracket and comes with all required fasteners. Please see here.

 

This kit is ideal for anyone wanting to carry out the popular bike carb modification as an alternative to the old weber twin 40 style conversions. Bike carbs offer excellent performance, reliability and fuel economy when compared to the weber alternatives. These conversions are very popular in both modified and kit car circles and provide a low cost, simple power upgrade not to mention a fantastic soundtrack!


The CVH engine will need a crank position sensor and 36-1 trigger wheel fitting to the front pulley (unless it is already an EFI equipped engine in which case the existing crank sensor can be used). It will also need a Ford Zetec Coil Pack (Ford Focus type). Our supplement pack (here) offers a good starting point for this. Alternatively the individual parts from that pack are also available separately in our shop. By using Ford Zetec based parts we ensure that the Nodiz loom is entirely plug and play in the CVH application. 


All danST supplied carburettors undergo a comprehensive inspection, strip, ultrasonic clean and rebuild process as required. Every set of carburettors are run on our dedicated test rig to ensure smooth idle and transition to higher RPM (see our youtube channel for running examples). We provide the carbs with base settings (and necessary jets) to allow you to get your engine up and running/driving. However these settings are only approximate and it is therefore essential that the carb jetting is set up by a competent engineer/mechanic using the necessary wide band AFR equipment (ideally on a rolling road) to avoid engine damage.

All of the above are 37mm diameter carbs and will support power levels up to 175bhp and are ideal for a 1300cc or 1600cc engine in standard and high levels of tune. This size of carburettor have been proven to offer better torque characteristics than larger 40mm carbs on such engines and are therefore ideal for a road and occasional track use. The manifold is manufactured from high quality aluminium with a precision Water Jet cut 10mm thick flange and TIG welded 45mm (Outside Dia) runners with a 3mm thick wall. All internal joints are fully ported/ground to ensure a smooth flow.

The NODIZ Pro™ GEN-X ECU is a state of the art microprocessor controlled digital stand-alone, fully mappable ignition controller for 4 or 8 cylinder spark ignition engines. It can be used either to replace older distributor based ignition systems for more modern coil packs, or even to allow the running of carburettors on more modern engines which do not feature a distributor drive.

The Nodiz Pro Gen-X is a complete update of the popular NODIZ Ignition System.

Moving to the ME100 core means even higher accuracy, as well as now using the full featured MEITE tuning software. Its a solid state, fully waterproof, easy to mount ignition system for modern four-cylinder engines. Supporting an array of trigger patterns and coils packs.

Also now the control ECU as used by the BRISCA F2 Oval Racing championship!
