An Inlet Manifold for fitment to the Volkswagen Golf Mk1 1.8 8v EX, DX engine also compatible with Mk2 Golf GTI 1.8 8v PB engine , TIG welded in aluminium and fully internally ground to ensure optimum flow and performance. Manifold comes with adapter plate, all fasteners and 2 gaskets.
The runners on this manifold are to suit the R1 carburettor spacings (Please check your carbs are spaced 77mm - 79mm - 83mm prior to purchasing this manifold). All of our manifolds are designed to mount the carburettors at the correct angle to ensure the floats function correctly in their bowls. Ideal for anyone who has already sourced a set of Mikuni R1 carburettors for their Golf GTI project.
Manifolds come complete with coolant connections (where applicable) as standard and a brake servo connection on the runner nearest the gearbox. Please use the check box options to specify the number of vacuum connections you require (servo connection will be supplied with a blanking plug if the manifold is specified without). PLEASE NOTE: The manifold supplied is not suitable for use with the standard cast exhaust manifold due to clearance issues and therefore a tubular 4-branch manifold must be in place for this inlet to fit as intended.
This item is made to order and therefore on a 10 working day lead time. If you require any additional vacuum take-offs adding to the manifold or a coolant connection these are easily added - please contact us.
