Our 'EFI Supliment Pack' is a kit of parts to facilitate the updating of an old distributor based engines. This pack can be used when an engine does not have a coilpack or crank sensor with trigger pattern required by the aftermarket ECU being used.
The pack consists of:
1 x Wasted Spark Coilpack (Early Ford type to suit supplied 8v ignition leads)
1 x 36-1 Universal Triggerwheel (140mm or 170mm diameter available)
1 x Universal crank sensor (2 wire VR type, as Ford Zetec among others, 2 pin mini timer connection)
1 x 8v ignition lead set (suits CVH, crossflow, Pinto etc)
Note: the trigger wheel and sensor are universal items and as such will require fabrication/machining work to be carried out to successfully mount them on the front pulley/cover/engine block. The sensor is required to be mounted at 90 degrees before top dead centre (most aftermarket ECU's offer some degree of compensation for error here).
All components are 'Ford based' and therefore ensure compatibility with plug and play ford kits (for example our ME221 standalone ECU with Pnp Zetec Loom). However this is not exhaustive and these parts can easily be fitted to most 4 cylinder engines.
