10mm thick 5053 Aluminium CNC WATERJET cut inlet manifold adapter plate to suit the Ford 1.6/1.8/2.0 Zetec engine. This plate/stud arrangement allows the fitment of a 1300/1600 XFLOW manifold onto the popular 1.6/1.8/2.0 Blacktop and Silvertop Zetec E engine.
Our Aluminium flanges are now CNC machined and ports have been contoured to aid fabrication of tubular inlet manifolds therefore the head side of the plate is matched to the head whilst the opposing side may still have material left in to allow for better blending/flow.
NOT suitable for ST170 engine (see our other items for ST170 specific parts).
The kit consists of:
1 x ZTEC-XFLOW-001 Adapter Plate
5 x M8 Manifold Studs (33mm Exposed Length once mounted in the plate)
2 x M8 Countersink Screw for holes covered by the xflow manifold (these replace one of your existing Zetec head studs)
Port shape is that of the standard Zetec engine - Being an aluminium plate these can then easily be ported by hand (a simple round file will suffice in most cases) to match your xflow manifold. However if you are looking for a quick solution you can of course bolt the manifold straight on, but ensuring smooth flow will get the best from your conversion. The port dimensions are 47 X 30MM.
PLEASE NOTE! This item is designed to suit the 1300/1600 xflow inlet manifold - however certain carbs, depending on the car they came from can foul the Zetec Rocker Cover and require a thicker plate than this 10mm version. Therefore it is essential you check that the 10mm plate listed is sufficient for your carb to clear the rocker. It may also be possible to raise your carb by the use of a spacer plate to resolve this issue.
Ideal for anyone converting from a XFLOW to a Zetec on a budget. Also popular for race series that demand the use of a single carb (grasstrack etc). NOTE that 1x Zetec inlet gasket and 1x xflow inlet gasket will be required.
