We are pleased to be able to offer this high performance camshaft package for the Ford  Duratec 2.5 engine. Developed with a leading UK camshaft manufacturer these camshafts retain the variable cam timing on the inlet cam and thus provide the fantastic mid-range torque we are accustomed to on these engines, whilst at the same time giving a great top end power increase.

In our otherwise standard engine on 50mm throttle bodies these camshafts have given proven gains of 10lb/ft in the mid range and a 30bhp peak power improvement. The engine in question in our MK Indy demo car achieved 245bhp vs 215bhp on the stock cams (in both cases the cams were timed using the standard Duratec timing bar and pin). A full video can be seen on our youtube channel (links below). Further gains may be possible if an adjustable vernier is used on the exhaust cam.

Couple these cams with our ported and polished 2.5 head and 260bhp+ can be achieved.

It is recommended to run uprated valve springs in conjunction with these camshafts. A vernier pulley for the exhaust cam is also advised if you wish to maximise the potential of your engine whilst on the dyno. Both of these are available in the options when purchasing. 

Cams are on a 10 working day lead time to dispatch. Please note that a £50 refundable surcharge is included in the price. Upon receipt of your old inlet cam (camshaft only, no sprocket required) this surcharge will be refunded. 

Note that this camshaft kit will also work in the 2.0 and 2.3 VCT engines.
