This Ford Duratec 2.5 cylinder head has been to a cylinder head specialist to maximise the velocity of airflow into the combustion chamber.

The works completed include;

• Porting and Polishing
• Surface Refacing
• Re-Lapping of the valves
• uprated valve springs 180 poundage

The Duratec 2.5 has particularly large ports due to it's displacement and benefits greatly from the work done to the port surfaces. The head utilises the standard OEM valves, uprated valve springs and VCT to ensure the same usability as the standard head. Do not confuse using this head with the compromised route of fitting a 2.0 head to a 2.5 and loosing the fantastic torque benefits that the VCT system offers!

The heads are not sold with buckets or camshafts, although we do have a selection of OEM camshafts or aftermarket that can be purchased with the head for a nominal fee (depending on stock). 

We recommend matching this head with some performance VCT camshafts as the OEM camshafts are quite 'lazy'.

You can expect to see gains of approximately 15-20bhp from the head work and double that with some performance VCT camshafts.
