A complete ECU kit for the Porsche 924 2.0 8v EA831 engine designed to replace the old distributor based spark system with a modern wasted spark coil pack, crank sensor and 3D mappable ECU. This kit is ideal for use with our bike carburettor conversion kits (or any other carburettors). It is not suitable for controlling fuel injection (for this application please see our ME221 range of ECU's).
The kit contains:
Nodiz Gen X ECU and Fully Terminated Ford Based Loom
Wasted Spark Ford Gen 1 Coilpack (suits our 8v ignition leads)
8v Ignition Lead Set to suit above coil
Crank Sensor Mounting Bracket Assembly
2 Pin Ford Zetec Crank Sensor
Porsche 924 trigger wheel
Spacers for alternator and water pump drive wheels (to accommodate offset created by adding the trigger wheel)
The crank sensor assembly is a bolt on kit specifically for the EA831 engine and will provide the NODIZ ECU with the relevant signal to determine the crank position (as required in a wasted spark system).
Options:
TPS Harness. A 3 Core TPS harness to allow the connection of a 3 Pin throttle position sensor (or MAP sensor) for 3D mapping capability
Add a Connector Plug. This is the Loom connector for either of the sensor options (3 pin Bosch Junior Timer)
Data Cable (FTDI). This cable is required to allow a laptop connection for tuning and converts the ECU Serial connection to USB.
Air Intake Temperature Sensor. An additional sensor for measuring air intake temperature - allowing further functionality in mapping the ECU based on temperature. Particularly useful for 924 turbo applications whereby the ignition may need to be retarded for safety in the even that temperatures become excessive.
Coolant Temperature Sensor. An additional sensor for measuring the engine temperature - allowing further functionality in mapping the ECU based on temperature (cold starts etc).
TPS. Add a throttle position sensor for load sensing - this will allow the ECU ignition to be mapped in 3D.
3 Bar Map Sensor. A requirement on the 924 turbo this sensor will allow the car to be mapped based on manifold pressure as opposed to throttle position.

Add a throttle sensor or MAP sensor to allow full 3D tuning based on load as well as engine speed.
